Alert: the following is a bit maths-geeky. If that’s not for you read no further.
Today is my birthday. I am 49 years old.
I like that number.
First up 4 is the square of 2, the only even prime number, and 9 is the square of 3, the next prime number after 2. (Today is the fourth – so another square of 2.)
The difference of 9 and 4 is 5, a prime number. The next prime number after 3.
The number 49 is the square of 7, a prime number. The next prime number after 5.
The month is November – the eleventh month and 11 is a prime number, the next after 7.
The sum of 4 and 9 is 13, a prime number and the next after 11.
By that reckoning, therefore, I am in my prime. (You may groan!)
And if you thought that was pointless then try this chart of my age in years on 4 November in each calendar year since my birth – entirely pointless!
Time for more cake!
